Viewing Link Types

Links show the flow of information from one server to another.

There are two types of links in your organization:

Routing Group Connectors

Shows the connectors that evaluate the optimal path for emails from one server to another. The links can be bidirectional or unidirectional.

The properties of a Routing Group connector (which are shown in the Properties Pane when a Routing Group connector link is selected) include Cost and Bridgeheads.

Site Connectors

Shows the connectors that evaluate the optimal path of network traffic. Sites are shown when you group by sites in all platforms.

The properties of a Site connector (which are shown in the Properties Pane when a Site connector link is selected) include Cost and Group Membership (which lists sites that are associated with the connector).

Viewing a Lync/Skype Environment

Once you are connected to a Lync/Skype for Business environment, you can perform the following:

Viewing Lync/Skype Pool Properties

Click a pool name in the Topology tab in your Lync or Skype for Business environment to see the following pool properties in the lower panel:

Lync/Skype Pool FQDN

Fully qualified domain name of the pool

Lync/Skype Site

Name of the site in which the pool is located

Lync/Skype Services

List of all services defined for the pool

Viewing Lync/Skype Server Properties

Click a server within a pool in the Topology tab in your Lync or Skype for Business environment to see the following server properties in the lower panel:

Server name

Name of the server

Domain

Domain to which the server belongs

Site

Name of the associated Active Directory site

Operating System Version

Version of the operating system that is installed on the server

Operating System Version Service Pack

Shows the latest service pack that is installed on the server

Lync/Skype Site

Name of the site in which the pool is located

Lync/Skype Version

Version of Lync or Skype that is installed
