To perform a silent installation of SQL Optimizer
Execute the following command:
msiexec /i "path to msi file\QuestSQLOptimizerForIBMDB2zOS_x_x_x_x msi" /qn
Note: The following command line options are used:
Command-Line Option Definition /i installs the product /qn Sets user interface to No UI
To perform a silent installation of SQL Optimizer in a directory different from the default product directory
Execute the following command:
msiexec /i "path to msi file\QuestSQLOptimizerForIBMDB2zOS_x_x_x_x.msi" /qn INSTALLDIR="InstallDir"
To uninstall SQL Optimizer
Go to Control Panel | Programs | Uninstall a program
Select SQL Optimizer for IBM DB2 z/OS, and complete the wizard.
To register the trial or production version
Select Help | Licensing.
Enter your Authorization key.
Enter your site message if you have a Production key.
Click Apply.
