Foglight Transaction Recorder tables and graphs provide detailed feedback on script results. You can view detailed results that help you analyze individual instructions. Details include download times, file sizes, throughput, network activity, and errors. The data available depends on the instruction type.

Timing vs. Size Chart

Summary

After a script is played back, the Summary Table shows you the instruction execution times and other results. The data available varies, depending on the instruction type.

Metric	Description
Response Time	This value is from TOTALTIME saved in the timer.
Initial Response Time	This value is from RESPONSETIME saved in the timer.
Network Time	This value is from RETRIEVALTIME saved in the timer. The RETRIEVALTIME is the duration between the instruction is ready to run and the instruction is completed.
Client Processing Time	This value is from CLIENTTIME saved in the timer.
Network Traffic	This value is from BYTECOUNT calculated in the Network Details table.

Network Details

The Network Details table shows the network traffic that occurs during the execution of an instruction. Details about HTTP, DNS, and TCP traffic are captured and displayed.

Request	Indicates the type of request that is captured.
Start Time	Shows the time when the package is sent.
Stop Time	Shows the time when the package is responed.
Retrieval Time	Shows the duration between the request is ready to run and the request is completed.
Size	Shows the size of the request package.
File Type	Indicates the type of the request package.

Network Chart

The Network Chart provides a graphical representation of the network traffic that occurred during the execution of an instruction. Mouse over a bar to view the details about the network request.
