New in this release

This 1.6.0 release of Foglight Hybrid Cloud Manager accompanies the release of Foglight Evolve 9.0. It includes Foglight Hybrid Cloud Manager for Azure and Foglight Hybrid Cloud Manager for AWS. This release includes following new features and improvements:

Foglight Hybrid Cloud Manager for Azure

  • Added Cloud Cost Environment Overview for both Azure and AWS. (AZ-465)
  • In the Azure > Optimizer dashboard, added VM Resizing optimization for cloud VMs. (AZ-397)
  • Display the subscription Unhealthy Services in the Azure Cloud Manager dashboard. (AZ-403)
  • Supported dynamic generation for cost breakdown by service. (AZ-486)
  • Added proxy configuration in Azure Agent. (AZ-508)

Foglight Hybrid Cloud Manager for AWS

  • Added Cloud Cost Environment Overview for both Azure and AWS. (AZ-465)
  • Automatic support new Region in the feature. (AWS-313)
  • Added proxy configuration in AWS Agent. (AWS-316)
  • Combined the VM Resizing for both CPU and Memory. (AWS-349)
  • Added the Saving column under the recommendations for EC2 instance type in the Optimizer > VM Resizing. (AW-271)

AZ-296

If you use scripts to configure the same subscription's cost metrics are monitored by multiple agents, the cost metrics might be collected repeatedly.

Workaround: Perform either of the following:

  • Use the Configure Subscription Cost to Monitor option in the Edit Agent Properties dialog box to configure the monitored cost metrics.

Or

  •  Check your scripts and ensure that the cost metrics of any subscription are monitored by one agent only.
