Disabling Circular Logging in Exchange 2013 or 2016

By default, Circular Logging is disabled in Exchange 2013 or 2016. If you have enabled it, disable it before using the plug-in.

Clear the Enable circular logging check box, and click save.

Enabling services

In Windows Control Panel > Administrative > Services for the Exchange Mailbox Servers, verify that the following services are enabled and running:

Microsoft Exchange Replication Service — required in DAG, LCR, and CCR environments

For VSS backups, also verify that the following services are enabled and running:

Volume Shadow Copy — started automatically by Microsoft Software Shadow Copy Provider

Configuring localization settings

The plug-in uses traditional Windows code page selection to enable localization, and is therefore subject to certain limitations. The plug-in must be used in an environment with correctly configured localizations settings to function properly.

To ensure correct operation in a localized environment, verify that the following conditions are met:

Select Regional and Language Options.

Select the Advanced tab.

In the Select a language to match the language version of the non-Unicode programs you want to use list, select the correct language.
