Memory Management Page

Use the Memory Management page to safely explore various memory allocations and their hypothetical impact on database performance. There is an opportunity to apply changes if appropriate.

To open the Memory Management Page

  1. Select the Spotlight on Oracle connection in the Spotlight Browser.
  2. Click Tuning | Memory Management.

To use the Memory Management Page

  1. Select A Memory Management Mode And Allocate Global Memory
  2. Review Your Changes Against The Charts
  3. Fine Tune Memory Components
  4. Review Your Changes Against The Charts
  5. Apply Changes

 

Note: The Memory Management page uses Oracle Advisories to estimate the impact of memory allocations on database performance. Oracle Advisories estimates are based on the current behavior of Oracle memory components, on how database performance in Oracle will be affected by changes in memory allocation. This advice is based on the recent behavior of your system.
