About Sequence Objects |
A sequence is an Oracle object that delivers a unique number, incremented by some specified amount, every time it is requested. Sequences are usually used to generate a primary key for a table or for a set of tables. You can use the sequence to create unique number that you can use in your tables as primary identifiers. The characteristics and usage of this database object are described in Oracle documentation. |
