Cluster Latency Alarm

The Cluster Latency alarm is raised when cluster latency from all causes (interconnect, GES, LMS overhead) exceeds a specified threshold. Possible causes for this alarm are:

  • High interconnect latency caused by overloading of the cluster interconnect.
  • Queuing or overloading of GES (Global Enqueue Services) processes or LMS global cache service processes.
  • A large amount of cache fusion activity.

Possible solutions to this problem include:

  • Increasing the bandwidth of the cluster interconnect.
  • Configuring additional GES or LMS processes.
