Real User (APM) Performance detail view

The Real User (APM) Performance detail view provides detailed metrics for a single location real user transaction, including average response times, response time breakdowns, application infrastructure, and more.
To access this view, click the title bar of a Real User (APM) tile, or from the Geographical Perspectives dashboard, click Transaction Detail for an APM transaction.

Hits and Pages tabs

The Hits tab and the Pages tab provide a summary of key metrics such as average response time, service level attainment, request volume, and errors.

From here you can:

Click Find Related Hits to open the Search Hits page.
•
Click Advanced Find to open a list from which you can select a specific type of search. Choose from hits with: back end violations, end to end violations, or errors. The Hit Search runs with your selected criteria. Any results are returned on the Search Hits page.

NOTE: If you have opened the Pages tab and you click Advanced Find, the drill down options are limited to captured pages.

Response Time Breakdown tab

The Response Time Breakdown tab displays a component-level breakdown of transaction execution times for the selected end user transaction group.

NOTE: The Response Time Breakdown Tab is visible only when Foglight for Java EE Technologies (version 5.8.2 or later), or Foglight for Microsoft .NET (version 5.9.1 or later) is installed and configured on your Management Server.

From here you can:
•
Click Explore Errors .
•
Click Explore Breakdowns .
•
Click a component icon to open the historical execution time chart.

This chart provides a comparison of the average execution time for the selected component (in blue), overlaid on the total average execution time for the transaction (in grey). The vertical blue bar on the chart indicates the current timeslice.

TIP: If you click a datasource component icon, the details view also includes a Map to Application Component button.
Click More Details to drill down to a detailed view of the selected application component. For example, from an application server component, you can access the Java™ application server details view.

Application Infrastructure tab

The Application Infrastructure tab includes a summary tile for each application component included in the transaction (for example, application servers, hosts, and databases).

From here you can:
•
Click the title bar of any application component tile to drill down to a detail view for that component type. For example, drilling down on a WebLogic® Server tile opens the Application Server detail view.
•
Add monitoring to an unmonitored host. If a host tile displays the message “This Host Is Not Currently Being Monitored,” click the title bar to open a Host detail view, where you can add host monitoring.
