Automatic Aliases

Toad accommodates easy automatic aliasing in Code Completion.

» Check Enable automatic aliasing and set more options. Review the following for additional information:
Disable automatic mode detection and use:

First characters - Use any first alphanumeric characters in the name for alias up to preferred alias length

Find upper case characters - Use any first upper case alphanumeric characters in the name for alias up to preferred alias length

Separator based - Use any first alphanumeric characters after each separator, i.e. comma, underscore, etc.

Note: See the preview in example pane.

Convert generated alias into: Set this to convert the alias to either Lower case or Upper case characters.
Preferred alias length: The preferred maximum alias length.
