Toad automatically generates syncpoints in scripts. To enable this feature, go to Tools | Options | Database | DB2 | General, and select Generate scripts with syncpoint statements. Or you can add syncpoints manually, for example #SYNC 10, #SYNC 20, etc.
To restart a script from a syncpoint
Select the syncpoint fro the list.
Select the additional action to be taken if z/OS Utility statement in the script terminated. Review the following for additional information:

Rerun utility from the start |
z/OS Utility will run from the beginning. |
Restart from the current utility checkpoint |
z/OS Utility will be restarted from the last commit point. |
Restart from the beginning of the last phase |
z/OS Utility will be restarted from the beginning of the currently stopped phase. |
Terminate the active utility and rerun |
z/OS Utility will be terminated and deregistered and then it will run again. |
