Session Locks Page

The Session Locks page shows the status of open locks, locks that are pending, and objects currently accessed by the session.

To open the Session Locks page

  1. Select the Spotlight on Oracle connection in the Spotlight Browser.

  2. Click Top Sessions Page.

  3. Select the session to view in detail.
  4. Click Session Locks.

Note: Alternatively, you can view session locks for top sessions by I/O Time on the IO DrilldownSession Locks Page.

Description

Session Locks

Held and waiting locks. The columns in this grid are:

  • Type - The type of lock.
  • Request - Mode in which the lock is requested.
  • Holding - Mode in which the lock is held.
  • Blocking? - Is this lock blocking other users?
  • Object - Object upon which the lock is held.
Objects accessed Objects that are currently accessed by the session. This includes stored programs as well as segments.
