Unable to use the New Object button in the Object Tab
Description

When trying to create a new object in a CSR by clicking the New Object button in the Object tab, the Create button does nothing, it does not prompt any error message.
Cause

Creating Objects from a template is used under specific conditions or rules to follow.
- Stat can only create objects from Predefined object types.
- The New Object will be based on a File Template or Existing object. Refer to Maintenance | General | Object Types.
Resolution

1. On the Objects tab, select an environment and object type. Then click New Object. Stat opens the New Object window, with the assigned developer and object type that you previously selected displayed as default values.
2. (Optional) In the Assigned To field select a different developer.
3. If you want to base the new file object on an existing object, select Existing Object in the Source field.
4. (Optional) In the File Type field select a different file type.
5. Do one of the following:
- If basing the new file object on a template and your system administrator has defined more than one template for the selected file type, select the file template you want to use in the Template field.
- If basing the new file object on an existing object, in the Existing Object field, locate and select the file object you want to use.
6. In the New Object name field, enter a name for the new object. Then click Create.
7. Stat adds each instance of the new object that you selected to the CSR. At this point, the file object exists only in the working directory of the assigned developer but is not yet archived. For more information on archiving, see the User Guide for 6.3.0, Creating Archive Sets (Oracle Applications) on page 201.
