Question on ssh with Stat for Gen Apps (4328731)

When using STAT to migrate a .sh script to a Linux server, from where does the ssh connection initiate in order for STAT to scp the file to the target Linux server and place the .sh script on the appropriate destination directory? Does the ssh session initiate from my client desktop, or from the STAT database server? Again, this is for STAT for Generic Apps, not for eBusiness Apps.
