Applying Oracle patches Concurrent Manager generates timeout error. -
Description
How STAT is checking if concurrent manager or other services are down and giving signal to agent to to proceed to apply patch? Right now users are facing issues like concurrent manager is down from Unix shell by running adstpall.sh from STAT but ICM is not down due to some running process. Hence the timeout error is raised while applying patch.
ERROR: Timeout waiting for Internal Manager to come down.

Cause
The cause is not be identified as the issue has been solved before a proper investigation and it cannot be reproduced. -
Resolution
When the timeout error occur, user can obtain more information by putting the stat oracle agent in debug mode to figure out what might be causing a problem. In this case, after running cmclean multiple times, issue has been fixed and the CM is coming down properly.
