Error 1603 during install (4337964)

The installation of component Quest SQL Server Optimizer for SQL Server 7.0 has failed with the following error: 1603

Solution 1:
Right-click the shortcut of the Optimizer installer and select "Run as Administrator" to to see if you can avoid the error.

Solution 2:
Right-click the Optimizer's installer shortcut | Properties | Compatibility Tab | check mark "Run this program in compatibility mode for" | choose "Windows XP Service Pack 3" from the drop-down list.

If the above solutions don't help then please try the following:

Solution 3:

This may be due to the installer having difficulties uninstalling an older version of the product.

Start | All Programs | Quest Software | Quest Installer | Quest Installer | select any 'SQL Optimizer for Oracle' entries | Next | Uninstall
Go to Add-Remove Programs and select any 'Quest SQL Optimizer for Oracle' entries or 'Quest SQL Tuning entries' you find.

Re-run the installer.

SOLUTION 5:

Install Shield install error troubleshooting steps.

SOLUTION 6:

Download and install Microsoft Fit It tool. Use this to remove and left over applications listed.

If you can, please install the utility and launch it to see if it detects the SQL Optimizer application installed and then attempt to remove it using the utility. If done, then try re-installing one more time.

Also I would suggest to create a local user account (non-domain) and assign it to the Administrator group, then use that account to install the software successfully.
