SQL Optimizer for SQL Server 9.0 error upon launch: "The image format is unrecognized."

The error happens at the splash screen and hangs SQL Optimizer 9.0. SQL Optimizer 8.5 installed on the same machine does not get the error.

STATUS:

Issue fixed in version v9.5. The latest version of SQL Optimizer for SQL Server can be downloaded at https://support.quest.com/download-product-select
