Warning message "Invalid Date Format" when entering bind variable date format 'DD-MM-YYYY' -
Description
On being prompted for a bind variable for a date field, select date format option DD-MM-YYYY (no option for MM-DD-YYYY) and enter date '25-12-2015' for the variable value. This results in the following warning message:
"Invalid Date Format"

Cause
Optimizer takes the format from the OS regional settings, so U.S. would be MM-DD-YYYY -
Resolution
WORKAROUND
Enter variable value as MM-DD-YYYY (for U.S.)
STATUS
Fixed in version 9.2 however format still only offers DD-MM-YYYY, but entering the variable value in format DD-MM-YYYY will now be accepted.
