Is there a way to create virtual indexes without being given "create any index" permission? -
Resolution
"create any index" is required only when you try to create an index on other schema. If the user is logged in to the same schema where the virtual indexes are being created, it is not necessary to have the "create any index" permission specifically declared. There may still be, however, restrictions placed by the DBA on creating indexes on the same schema. Contact the DBA to address this.
Note: The NOSEGEMNT clause of CREATE INDEX is what is used to create Virtual Indexes.
