Icon bar icons disabled after connecting -
Description
Recently downloaded SQL Optimizer 8.6.0 for Oracle and I am unable to add any SQL to optimize.
The buttons are grayed out.
I've tried using the product standalone as well as through the Advance Optimization option within TOAD.
The connection to the database works (as seen in the screen shot) and the license is valid.
When I try to open up another SQL Rewrite session, I have the same problem. -
Cause
Corrupt GUI file.

Resolution
Reset the Application Data Directory by renaming the folder name. With the applictation closed, drill and execute the steps below:
In Windows XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\<USER>\Application Data\Quest Software\Quest SQL Optimizer for Oracle\<version>. Rename <version> to <version_backup> .
In Windows 7:
C:\Users\<USER>\AppData\Roaming\Quest Software\Quest SQL Optimizer for Oracle\<version>. Rename <version> to <version_backup> .
Relaunch application and confirm.
