Description

When trying to start the application the following error comes up:
"'.', hexadecimal value 0x00, is an invalid character. Line 1, position 1."
After clicking on the OK button the screen is frozen.

The application seems to be trying to connect to the Amazon EC2 cloud
Cause

Corrupted layout file is trying to bring up the Toad/Optimizer community web page on launch.
Resolution

1. Exit Optimizer for Oracle.
2. Reset the C:\Documents and Settings\<personal folder>\Application Data\Quest Software\Quest SQL Optimizer for Oracletest\<version>\Layout folder.
3. Start Optimizer.
