When using the "Alt Gr" + "y" buttons (like shown in the <ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/software/globalization/keyboards/KBD208.pdf> for the Hungarian keyboard), in SQL Navigator 6 it does not generate the usual ">" character ( for using it for pl/sql to develop web applications), but the program copies the current line into a new line.
This issue is caused by a new component which is used in the new editor.
WORKAROUND 1:
In Windows 'Regional and Language Options' on 'Languages' tab, click the 'Details' button and in pop up window
1. click on 'Add...' button, which opens another pop up 'Add Input language' , where
2. in 'Keyboard layout/IME', there is a choice of 2 Hungarian keyboards:
- Hungarian,and
- Hungarian 101-key
whichever is currently used, try the other one.
WORKAROUND 2:
Try to use for entering '>' (greater than) character manually with - 'ALT-62' from keypad, which is the decimal equivalent of the Unicode character 'U+003E'
WORKAROUND 3:
Pressing "Alt Gr + M" (on the Hungarian keyboard) types "<", while pressing "Alt Gr + :" types ">"
(this is next second key from 'M').
STATUS:
Enhancement request ST# 4836 has been submitted to Development for consideration in future release of SQL Navigator.
