SQL Navigator hangs on long running query + Explain Plan (4321946)

The SQL Navigator hangs when doing a long running query and an additional Explain Plan for the same session until the query from the first sql editor returns.

Steps to reproduce:

1. enter the following statement in sql editor one:
   begin
     dbms_lock.sleep( 10000 ); -- sleep 10k seconds
   end;
2. run the statement
3. open a second editor in the same session and enter the following code:
   select sysdate from dual;
4. Klick "Explain Plan"
