Title
License key not working in SQL Navigator 7.3 and above. Message says the legacy key needs to be upgraded. -
Description
After installing SQL Navigator 7.3 or above, the following message is received.
You entered a legacy license key in the format of X-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX. These license keys are no longer supported since SQL Navigator 7.3 and will need to be upgraded before you can continue to the next step.
Would you like to open a browser to the License Assistance page to request a license key upgrade? -
Cause
The Authorization Key and Site Message entered represent a legacy license key, which were used in SQL Navigator 7.2 and earlier. The legacy key has a format of 1-12345-12345-12345-12345. This key format is no longer supported starting in SQL Navigator 7.3 and needs to be upgraded.

Resolution
Create a Licensing service request from the Licensing Assistance page on the Quest Software support portal. Provide them with your license number, if possible, and legacy license key and let them know that you need it to be upgraded for SQL Navigator 7.3.
Note: The "license number" is different from the license key (or authorization key) you register in Toad. The "license number" is a serial number that is linked to your account, and is usually 9 characters long, alpha numeric (i.e. X75-8AF-354).
