RESOLUTION #1:
Make sure one of your Oracle client paths is not listed twice in your Environment Variable path. It is OK to have multiple Oracle client paths in the Environment Variable path as long as they are for different clients.
RESOLUTION #2:
Make sure you have your Oracle client's path is listed first in your Environment Variable path. If it is listed first, make sure it is an 8i, 9i, 10g, or 11g client.
RESOLUTION #3:
Make sure there is only one "Path" defined in the Environment Variable section. If your computer have the "Path" defined at both the User and System level, delete the "Path" at the user level.
You can check your path by typing PATH into your command prompt. This will give display your full environment variable path in a format easy for you to review.
You can edit your path entries by...
1) Right click on your 'My Computer' icon and select properties.
2) In the Advanced tab, click the Environment Variable button.
3) In the bottom portion of the window, highlight Path and click Edit.
