After encountering some errors in SQL Nav I had to use the task manager to close. When I reopened SQL Nav and connected no windows open, no toolbars exist, and not even the default menus (i.e. File, Edit, Search, View, Session, etc.) are displayed. I cannot right click to customize and I cannot get to the settings or open any windows. I can do nothing in SQL Navigator except close.
1. Go to Start | Run | 'regedit'
2. In the registry, save a back up of your registry
3. Drill down to My Computer | HKEY_CURRENT_USER | Software | SQL Navigator X.x | Main Form (where X.x is the version)
4. Rename Main Form; to something like Main Form_bak
5. Launch SQL Nav and check for toolbars and menus.
