Spotlight is simply reporting the values read directly from SQL Server using a Microsoft C# library. If there are discrepancy between that value and what SSMS reports then the problem it due to two pieces of Microsoft software being inconsistent.
One of the possibilities is that perhaps the latency issue has gone away by the time SSMS is used to view the state of the distribution.
The data is only collected every 5 minutes so it will take 5 minutes for the alarm to clear if a subsequent collection finds no latency issues.
