“How to monitor Hyper-V? Should the connection manager be pointed to the management server as is detailed when loading Virtual Machine Manager, or should the connections be to the physical underlying Hyper-V nodes?
I have pointed Spotlight to the management server, a Hyper-V cluster and a Hyper-V server all return WMI class errors:
"Virtual Machines
Component: Virtual machines
The following error occurred while collecting data
WMI query failed : Invalid class. [0x80041010][Error Code: -2147217392].
Table: Hyper-V - Virtual Machines"
All our Hyper-V kit is in Windows Server Core mode and we think that is what is causing the issue. We have pointed Spotlight to a Hyper-V server in a GUI mode and spotlight can monitor fine.
Do you have any provisions to make Spotlight work against Server Core?"
