Using VMWare descriptive names such as "VM server name - SQL Monitoring" are not recognized in Spotlight. When attempting associate a Windows connection to a descriptive VMWare server name, Spotlight is not showing the correct VMWare server name. The Windows home page also shows:
"Virtual Machine Usage failed VM "vm_name" does not exist, on vCenter Server Appliance"
WORKAROUND:
Restart Spotlight Diagnostic Server services.
STATUS:
Waiting for fix in future release of Spotlight on SQL Server Enterprise.
