SQL agent job failure not generating notification email
Description
Notification emails not sending the alert for SQL agent job failures.
Cause
SQL Server connections have been disabled on SQL agent job failed collection for background schedule.
If the background schedule of SQL agent job failed collection is disabled, then the collection will not run and the agent job failure alarm will never be raised.
Resolution
To receive SQL agent job failure alert:
1. Go to Configure | Scheduling and select the problematic SQL Server connection
2. Select "SQL Agent Job Status" collection and check "Collect data when Spotlight is not connected" checkbox
