Is it possible to determine what process is running on a particular CPU?
Description
Is it possible to determine what process is running on a particular CPU?
For example, on a 4 core CPU, one of the CPUs is using 100% utilization, but Spotlight only seems to display average CPU instead of going deeper on a specific CPU level.
Resolution
Unfortunately, Spotlight will not go any deeper than what is currently displayed. Unless specifically set to a specific CPU (affinity), determining what CPU a process is running on will require a trace which means more resource consumption. Spotlight is not designed to go so deep to the OS level.
