Screen Hangs and become unresponsive on Oracle and on Oracle RAC
Description

Connecting to more than 3 connections on Oracle RAC causes Spotlight to hang/freeze after a period of time. Memory goes over 1,500,000K Used low overhead settings.
Resolution

Try these steps to reduce the memory foot-print:

1.    Increase the refresh rate values (ie. Reduce how often Spotlight queries for data)

2.    Reduce the amount of history that is stored

3.    Turn the display performance down

You can find these setting under View|Options on the main screen of Spotlight.
