Resolution
verify the following:
1) PATH
2) if there are multiple oracle homes and which one is default
3) see what home is used in the conection proprties (4th line from top)
4) make sure it is 32bit Oracle client (as per release notes)

for number 4 you can try the following:
Method 1: Check for lib, lib32
-------------1) $ORACLE_HOME/lib32
2) $ORACLE_HOME/libIf the two directories $ORACLE_HOME/lib32 and $ORACLE_HOME/lib are existing then it is 64 bit.If there is only an ORACLE_HOME/lib directory then it is 32 bit client.Method 2.------------------If the method 1 is not working for you then can check the Oracle metalink 434295.1 for alternative method
