Why spotlight does not have this same history browser views as PA allowing to view recent SQL statements that were run.

Resolution
Performance Analysis is the Quest product for doing this. Spotlight doesnnâ€t have this facility, we donnâ€t have agent-style Spotlight facility.
If you are licensed to use the Oracle Diagnostic Pack, you can enable the Active Session History and Active Workload History pages in the Activity Waiting Events drilldown to at least view some historical data about sessions.
To enable this, edit the text file DataBasesLicensedForDiagnosticsPack.txt (in the ..\Plug-ins\COP sub-folder of the Spotlight installation folder) according to the instructions supplied in the file.
