Spotlight write in the history file (example: .sh_history) on the server machine and while running Spotlight the size of the history file becomes very big.
Spotlight is running the whole day as a monitoring tool, but it is a diagnostic tool for short runs only.
To avoid the blow-up of the history file use OS parameters to limit the size of the history file.
