Description
A database user gets the following error message whilst trying to connect to any database using Spotlight for DB2. Although other users are working fine.
Unable to connect to "" Spotlight encountered the following error during connection: Format of the initialization string does not conform to the OLE DB specification"
The software is on a shared server. The user can connect to the DB2 database fine using Toad for DB2 as well as using the client.

Resolution
Regenerate the password.
