Install space manager live reorg's server component error with "Error creating package QUEST_SPC_UTIL" -
Description
After Space Manager was successfully installed on client machine, the next step "install server object component" was failed with "Error creating package QUEST_SPC_UTIL".

Cause
A. Live reorg user does not have the right roles and privileges.
To confirm this cause:
1. log in target database as live reorg user
2. run a query:
select *from user_errorswhere name = 'QUEST_SPC_UTIL'and type = 'PACKAGE BODY'>> DBMS_LOCK needs to be declared (execute DBMS_LOCK was not granted to live reorg user)3. check the returned rows to confirm missing roles and privilegesB. Existing old live reorg user with invalid objectsto confirm this:a. log in target database as dbab. select * from dba_errors where name like '%QUEST_SPC%'c. select object_name, status from dba_objects where object_name like '%QUEST%' -
Resolution
1. drop newly create live reorg user
2 create new live reorg user
3. follow installation guide to grant live reorg user with all the needed roles and privileges.
4. check to make sure there is no old live reorg user with invalid live reorg objects
5 run install server object components again
