Description

Compare errored out with the following messages in the event_log and compare log.

Desvr log----
000: Error 1804 calling OCIInitialize in de_trans_logon

000: ERROR: Illegal state: Cannot retrieve activation info:status=-2: object cache: o.DALV3I: 1

Envirnomental Settings
Resolution

Things to Check:

Resolution 1:

1) Unset ORA_NLS and ORA_TZFILE in the users envirnoment.

Resolution 2::

2) Unset all LIB envirnoment variables in the users envirnoment

LD_LIBRARY_PATH, LIBPATH, PERL5LIB and SHLIB_PATH

Resolution 3:

3) Ensure ORACLE_HOME is pointing to 11gR2 32 bit instant client for 11gR2 database.

Resolution 4:

4) If it is an Oracle upgrade, make sure the param-defaults file in proddir/data has the right values for ORACLE_ABI_CLIENT(should be set to 32-bit client) and ORACLE_HOME to base oracle home.
