Description
To align the installation and operation of SharePlex more closely on the Windows and Unix/Linux platforms,the following utilities must now be run from the command line of the operating system on Windows:ora_setupora_cleanspAbove utilities formerly were run from the SpUtils utility on Windows.The Windows installer no longer installs SharePlex as a Windows Service. Use the SpUtils utility for this purpose. -
Cause
Changes in ora_setup in version 8.6.2 for Windows. -
Resolution
If SharePlex is installed on any port other than the default of 2100, use the -p option to specify the port number.ora_cleansp should be with -r option.For example,To run ora_setup with default port: 2100On OS command prompt, cd to full path of the SharePlex bin subdirectory.c:\users\splex\bin>ora_setupTo run ora_setup with non-default port: 9000 (as example)c:\users\splex\bin>ora_setup -p9000Make sure that the ORACLE_HOME and ORACLE_SID is set in the windows environment variable before starting sp_cop service.c:\ ora_cleansp <DB username>/<password> -r<port>NOTE: Make sure the vardir path prompted is for the port mentioned in the ora_cleansp command.
