Compare or repair fails with the message “Cannot set use both include and exclude options”
Description

The following error is observed when running a compare (or repair) with both exclude and include option:

sp_ctrl> compare OWNER.TABLE_NAME include "COLUMN1" exclude " COLUMN2"

Cannot set use both include and exclude options
Cause

Compare or repair do not permit use of include and exclude options together.
Resolution

Compare or repair now support synchronization of a subset of the columns of a table by the use of ‘exclude’ or ‘include’ option. Either one of these two options can be used to achieve the same goal, namely synchronizing some of the columns in a table. But compare does not support use of both these options concurrently. To resolve the problem, use either one of these options and re-run compare.
