Yes, starting with Shareplex 8.6 and up, it is supported.

1. What combinations are supported?

The following are supported:

Replication from a non-multitenant container database to a PDB

Replication from a PDB to a non-multitenant container database

Replication from one or more PDB in the same or different containers or from a non-PDB database to one or more PDB in the same or different containers or to a non-PDB database.

1. Can a Shareplex instance capture changes from two or more source databases?

Yes, a Shareplex instance can capture changes from two or more source databases. Essentially there will be two or more active config files within the same Shareplex instance. Consequently there will be 2 or more Capture, Export and Read processes. Since long Shareplex has supported replication from multiple datasources so long as one active config file refers to one datasource only. For example, if you want to replicate from two source databases, you will need two different active config files.
