One need not interpret anything about the database version of the Source and Open Target from the 'version full' output issued on the Open Target.
Even though the database version is shown to be Oracle 11g, it is not.
It should be noted that the Open Target would work with all supported Open Target databases as well as the supported Source databases and the 'version full' output about Oracle is just a misnomer.
This has changed from SharePlex 9.2.1 onward, an example as follows:
sp_ctrl> version full
