When trying to get into sp_ctrl the following message appears on the screen "port not set correctly or sp_cop not running"
This can happen for several reasons:
1) sp_cop is not running. To resolve the issue start sp_cop
2) sp_cop is running but $SP_SYS_HOST_NAME environment variable is missing or pints to the wrong host name. To resolve the issue, make $SP_SYS_HOST_NAME present and is correct.
3)sp_cop is running but $SP_SOP_TPORT and $SP_SOP_UPORT environment variables are missing or do not point to the port where sp_cop is running. To resolve the issue, make $SP_SOP_TPORT and $SP_SOP_UPORT are present and are correct.
4) sp_cop is hanging. There is no message that specifies that sp_cop is hanging, but all environment variables are set up correctly, sp_cop is running but still cannot get into sp_ctrl. To resolve this issue use the kill -9 PID command to kill all shareplex processes and restart sp_cop
