Description
The following warning occurs when upgrading the number of CPUs on a computer that has Sharepelx running:
"Warning: Incorrect number of CPUs: the machine has 10 CPU(s), and the license supports up to 5 CPU(s)." -
Cause
If the Production system has been upgraded from 5 to 10 cpus then Shareplex will run but will fill up the event log with this warning messages. -
Resolution
To resolve this you will need to get a new permanent license key from Licensing.
1. If you know your Quest Software Account representative please contact them immediately.
Note: A Quest License Representative will contact you within 48 hours.
2. Send an e-mail to license@quest.com with the output of splex_uname and previous license key. Send your paramdb file, as this contains the license key.
