This occurs if the SP_OPO_CHECK_INACTIVE_SESSION parameter is set. This parameter controls whether or not Post checks for inactive Oracle sessions.
Check if SP_OPO_CHECK_INACTIVE_SESSION parameter value is set to 1 (list param all post). This parameter controls whether or not Post checks for inactive Oracle sessions. The default setting of 0 disables this functionality. A setting of 1 directs Post to verify whether its Oracle session is active or inactive. If a session is inactive, Post takes action based on the reason for the inactivity. This parameter is a workaround for an Oracle problem where a session becomes inactive during an OEXN () operation. Post stops and restarts, and begins processing from the last checkpoint. No data is lost as a result of this process.
This should only be set if operations are getting hung and are not blocked and only after we have checked the database and have observed that all poster session are in-active. This parameter is intended as a work around when SharePlex generates an operation taking too long message in the Event Log, but the database shows no active SharePlex sessions.
