Capture stuck in initialiZing state due to large colcache files -
Description
Capture is very slow and when restarted it is stuck in initialization status for a very long time.

Cause
The problem causing the long initialization and capture slowness is due to reading the of large colcache files.

Resolution
Not included untilV5.3.4 . Issue is fixed by a one-off patch to be implemented in latter versions 6.X.
Workaround :
Stop capture
Go to SP_SYS_VARDIR/state locate file *colcache* . There should be two sets of each, a and b (colcache.a & colcache.b)
o.SID-colcache.a
o.SID-colcache.b
Rename these 2 files to .old.
Start capture
This allows capture to create new ones.
Follow this process until Capture speeds up and this long transaction is completed. -

This one-off makes capture initialize fast despite getting a large colcache caused by this unusually large transaction.
