Is the parameter EXTSHM=ON needed on AIX for Shareplex for Oracle version 7.6 -
Description
When starting cop is the parameter export EXTSHM=ON needed in 64 bit Shareplex for Oracle e.g. Version 7.6 and higher.

Cause
32 bit applications on AIX divide the address space info 256 megabyte slots of which 8 to 10 are available (depending on the OS version ).

Resolution
This parameter is not needed on 64 versions of Shareplex for Oracle since the operating system can directly address upto 4 pentabytes without using a windowing system.

Additional Information
This parameter is not needed in version 7.6 or any later 64 bit version of Shareplex for Oracle on AIX 5.3, 6.0 or higher.
