sp_cop "queue initialization failed - exiting" (4219935)

After a system crash, sp_cop exits with sp_cop "queue initialization failed - exiting" and qview does not run, returning "que_ERR: Non specific error". Queue_validate_log indicates queue corruption, but you cannot fix queue since qview cannot be run.

System crash causes queue corruption.

NOTE: There maybe other reasons for queue corruption and initialization failure. Also other problems can arise from system crash that are not like the one described here. This solution is for one specific scenario.

WORKAROUND:

1. Go to vardir/data

2. Remove the "dirty" file

NOTE: Now, sp_cop should start and qview should run

3. Go to qview and fix queue corruption as needed.
