Rapid Recovery Core does not notify of available version updates -
Description
Rapid Recovery does not notify of new versions nor upgrade automatically to new versions even though the automatic update settings are set to "Notify me about updates, but do not automatically install them" or "automatically install updates".

Cause
There are two possible reasons for auto update notifications not to work:
- Automatic update has been disabled for Rapid Recovery version 6.1.3 to ensure General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliance.
- A patch is installed on the core server to fix a defect that is not resolved in the next release version of Rapid Recovery. Auto update is disabled in this scenario to prevent automatic update which will cause the patched defect to recur.

Resolution
If auto update is not notifying of a new Rapid Recovery release, please visit http://support.quest.com/rapid-recovery/download-new-releases to download and manually install the latest version of Rapid Recovery.
