QoreStor Port conflict with McAfee Agent ePo 8081 -
Description
McAfee Agent (macmnsvc) uses port 8081 for wake-up communication with ePo. QoreStor uses the same port for the policy manager. -
Cause
When McAfee Agent is installed in the QoreStor Server Linux OS it can affect the QoreStor Services and the system will enter in Maintenance Mode (Manual Intervention). This is because both services are trying to use the port 8081. -
Resolution
As this port is hard coded in QoreStor the only alternatives are:- Uninstall McAfee Agent from the QoreStor server
- Use a different port for McAfee Agent communication to ePo.
